New York City is home to some of the best yoga studios, but it’s also home to the most yoga classes per capita in the country.
As of July 2018, the city boasted more than 3,600 yoga studios — a number that has been growing over the past decade, according to the New York Yoga Alliance.
Yoga studios are also prevalent throughout New York state, which is home of the country’s largest yoga certification program, the NY State Yoga Alliance, which certifies over 4,500 instructors across six state areas.
While many of the NYC yoga studios are certified by the NYC Yoga Alliance — which is a nonprofit, not a corporation — they do offer some exclusives.
